Bangladesh takes interest in Yak-130 operational trainers

Commander-in-Chief of the air forces of Bangladesh said that the country is interested in purchasing Russian Yak-130 operational trainers, the head of Rosoboronexport’s Department of Air Forces, Sergey Kornev, declared at China Airshow – 2012, Vzglyad.ru reports.

«Commander-in-Chief of the air forces of Bangladesh has visited our stand and took interest in Yak-130 operational trainers», – Kornev said.
A representative of the Russian delegation at the airshow explained later that Bangladesh will be able to obtain credit from Russia for purchasing 12 Yak-130s and 12 Su-27s.

«As far as I know, the credit has been approved. Bangladesh will be able to choose the quantity and configuration of jets within the bounds of this credit. The negotiations are still underway, but no documents have been signed yet», – he noted.
