"The increase of the revenues is caused by the growth of demand on the air transportation. The net cost of goods, production, work and services sold during the nine months of 2012 was 103 billion rubles (it has increased by 20,9 billion rubles (+25,4%)). The increase of the net cost is generally caused by the growth of scope of work by 19.7%, increase of aviation kerosene prices (+14% in ruble equivalent) as compared to 9 months of 2011 and expansion of the carrier’s fleet”, - the airline explained.
The gross margin was 28,5 billion rubles, other income – 9.7 billion. The profit before tax was 17,5 billion rubles, the net profit was 13,8 billion (3 billion rubles or 27.9% as compared to the same period of 2011). The increase of net profit is caused by outstripping growth rate of income from operating activities.
The total assets of Aeroflot have increased to 113,7 billion rubles during 9 months of 2012, which is greater by 17 billion rubles (+17,5%) as compared to the similar indicator in the beginning of 2012. The company’s long-term obligations have slightly decreased as compared to the beginning of 2011 to 7.4 billion rubles due to transferring the bonded indebtedness into short-term liabilities category because of their maturing in less than a year. The short-term liabilities of Aeroflot were 45 billion rubles”, - Aeroflot noted.
