Russian aircraft industry plans to manufacture 40 aircraft and 250 helicopters by the end of 2012. It was stated by the Minister of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.

"As for the number of aircraft, we must manufacture at least 40 ones this year. The number of manufactured helicopters will increase this year by 15% (the average annual rate of growth over the last few years). We must manufacture over 250 helicopters this year", - he noted.
The minister also told about the ministry’s ambitious plans regarding strengthening the position of Russia at the global market. "We are elaborating the state program for development of aircraft industry, which contains a number of indicators. First of all, we are looking up to the share at the global market. We plan to have a total of 10% by 2020, including aircraft and helicopters", - Manturov said.
