Irkut Corporation plans to increase its revenues by 15% in 2012 (as compared to 2011) by making 50-55 billion rubles from selling aircraft. It was reported by Alexander Veprev, CEO of Irkutsk aviation plant (IAP), the division of Irkut Corporation, Business-TASS reports.

The revenues of Irkut were 47.5 billion rubles in 2011 (roughly similar to the revenues of 2010). At that the enterprise has earned a record-breaking net profit of 3.5 billion rubles last year (+44% as compared to the previous year).

As explained by Veprev, the revenues depend on the terms of contracts, which should be signed this year. In particular, the enterprise may sign a contract with India on delivery of components for 42 Su-30MKI fighters in the next few days. According to Veprev, the process of negotiating with Indian Ministry of Defense has already been completed. The total value of this contract is assessed at $3,4 billion.

Irkut’s backlog is assessed at $7 billion.
