Ilyushin Finance & Co leasing company and Transaero have signed an agreement on long-term lease of two Tu-204-100C cargo aircraft (serial numbers 64051 and 64052) on October 1st 2012, said in the joint statement of the companies. AEX.ru

«According to the agreement the first jet will be delivered to Transaero in 2012 and the second one – in January 2013. Although Transaero had no cargo aircraft in its fleet before, following the results of 8 months of 2012 the carrier came in first by the cargo traffic on domestic routes», - said in the statement.

The carrier chose Tu-204-100C aircraft because the airline intends to develop its cargo operations and traditionally supports the national aircraft industry.

It is planned to sign the firm contract between Ilyushin Finance & Co leasing company and Transaero within a month as from the date of signing this agreement after coming to acceptable terms on MRO with suppliers of the aircraft and engines.
