VSMPO-Avisma will improve the production of stamped blank components for the landing gear of Boeing 787 Dreamliner, UralInformBuro reports.
The changes will be made in the processes of hammering and thermal treatment. As reported by VSMPO-Avisma, six specialists from Messier-Bugatti-Dowty (France) have visited the enterprise in order to discuss these issues. The possibility of implementing a new specification for VST5 5-5-3 alloy due to changing of materials requirements is also being discussed.

The representatives of VSMPO-Avisma and Messier-Bugatti-Dowty have signed a cooperation agreement in summer 2012. The Russian enterprise will continue deliveries of titan stamped blank components and parts with rough mechanical processing intended for manufacturing landing gear of Dreamliner to its French partners and their sub-suppliers.
VSMPO guarantees the provision of logistics services and execution of orders right on time due to work of a broad network of its own distributors located in USA, UK, Germany and China.
