CEO of Rosoboronexport, Anatoly Isaykin, confirmed at Euronaval-2012 show that South-East Asia and Africa are taking interest in Su-30Ks returned to Russia by India, RIA Novosti reports.

Russia has delivered 18 Su-30Ks to India in the second half of 1990s. However, after the start of deliveries of new upgraded Su-30MK fighters, India abandoned the outdated Su-30Кs. These vehicles were returned to Russia in 2008 and 18 Su-30MKI fighters were delivered to India. The customer paid the difference in prices. The vehicles are stored at aircraft repair plant number 558 in Baranovichi, Belarus. The Federal Service on Military-Technical Cooperation explained many times that the jets are stored in Belarus in order to avoid paying the value-added task while importing the jets back to Russia.

"We have a batch of 18 Su-30Ks ready for selling. The jets have been delivered from India to Belarus using trade-in scheme. South-East Asia and Africa are taking interest in these jets", - Isaykin said. He noted that in case of signing the contract on delivery of these fighters Russia would repair and upgrade them.

According to the Center for Analysis of World Arms Trade (CAWAT), Vietnam and Sudan are interested in purchasing 18 Su-30Ks. CAWAT assessed the price of these jets at $270 million (the price of one fighter will be about $15 million including its upgrading).
