The crews of long-range aviation of Russian air forces performed successful launches of air-launched cruising missiles on October 19th in the network of planned combat training, press-service of Russian Ministry of Defense reports. AEX.ru
«Tu-160 and Tu-95 aircraft from Engels airbase (Saratov Region) were involved in the training. The crews of strategic bombers performed 15-hour flight above featureless terrain and successfully launched four cruising missiles on the assigned targets at Pemboy shooting ground (Komi Republic). All the fired air-launched weapons have reached their targets», - the Ministry explained.
Successful performance of missile launches is the highest mark of the skills of the long-range aviation’s crews.
