S7 Airlines, the member of oneworld® alliance, announced its accession to the International Air Carrier Association (IACA). AEX.ru
The association promotes interests of its member-airlines during interaction with EU aviation authorities and Eurocontrol. The association’s specialists are constantly monitoring the situation and inform the participants of all the changes in the regulatory system related to the flight safety, environmental protection and imposition of taxes. The work with airports located in the cities, which are popular among tourists, is being carried out (including European ones) in the area of slots, fees, ground handling operations and fuel supply. Thus member-airlines are able to be serviced on favorable terms.
«Thanks to liberalization of inter-governmental agreements between Russia and EU countries the number of flights to EU is increasing every year. And we must understand the impact of changes in the EU legislation (such as emission trading system, the united navigation space and increased competition between the airports) on the work of the Russian airline. It is easier to find solution in cooperation with IACA», - Director on Strategic Development of S7 Airlines, Vadim Besperstov, noted.
This Brussels-based association was established in 1971 by a group of aviation experts. It includes 33 companies. The following members of oneworld alliance are forming part of the association: S7 Airlines, Finnair, airberlin and Niki.
