The flight of Progress M-13M cargo spacecraft has ended on January 25th, Federal Air Transport Agency’s press-service reports. AEX.ru
In accordance with the program of its on-board computer, following the commands from Mission control center, the spaceship’s cruise engine has been taken off into a deboost mode on 6:25 Moscow time (02:25:00 GMT). After 235,3 seconds the engine has delivered a retroburn of 125,6 m/s to the ship. After that the ship has lost its orbit and ceased to exist in the defined water zone of southern part of Pacific Ocean.
The coordinates of the center of unburned components downfall: 51,4° South latitude and 128,2° West longitude.
The impact time is 07.17.55 (Moscow time).
Progress M-13M cargo spacecraft has been placed into orbit on October 30th 2011 and it has been docked to International Space Station (ISS) two days later. It has delivered more than 2.6 tons of different cargo to the ISS, including “Chibis-M” mini spacecraft intended for studying the atmospheric lightning discharge physics.
Progress M-13M has been undocked from ISS and has been placed into orbit with height of about 500 km, where “Chibis-M” has been launched for a free flight.
The preparation for launch of Soyuz-U space rocket with Progress M-14M cargo spacecraft is still underway at Baikonur’s launch site 1.
In accordance with the schedule, the rocket has been delivered to the launch site yesterday and the operations of the 1st launch day in accordance with a program. The general testing of the rocket and tests of cosmodrome’s earth-based systems have been performed.
The launched of Soyuz-U space rocket with Progress M-14M cargo spacecraft will be performed on January 26th.
