Transaero has acquired two more Boeing aircraft

Transaero has acquired two more jets: Boeing 777-300 and Boeing 737-800 NG, the airline’s press-service reports. AEX.ru

The wide-body long-haul Boeing 777-300 has arrived in Moscow on January 19th. It is the third one of the type in Transaero’s fleet.

Transaero’s Boeing 777-300 aircraft have a four-class cabin configuration with a total of 373 seats: the first class Imperial, business class, premium economy and touristic class cabins.

These jets are equipped with state-of-the-art entertainment system, which uses optic fiber and provides HD content to the passengers. All the chairs are equipped with individual monitors and power supply system for charging of portable electronic devices.

«All the interior elements of Boeing 777-300 are made in accordance with the carrier’s special order. In particular, the new chairs trimmed with Alcantara (the material usually used for trimming of expensive cars and yachts) are installed in all classes. Transaero is the only operator of Boeing 777-300 aircraft in Russia, CIS Region and Eastern Europe», - the airline noted.

The medium-haul Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft have also joined Transaero’s fleet. It has a three-class cabin configuration with 158 seats: business class, premium economy and touristic class cabins.

The acquisition of these two jets attests to consistent implementation of the airline’s program for fleet expansion and renewal by acquisition of next-generation aircraft. At present the Transaero’s fleet includes 76 aircraft: 19 Boeing 747s, 12 Boeing 777s, 13 Boeing 767s, 29 Boeing 737s and 3 Тu-214s.
