Roscosmos is discussing plans on creation of moon bases and utilization of Moon’s resources with its European and American partners, RIA Novosti reports. It has been declared by the head of Roscosmos, Vladimir Popovkin.

He reminded that Russia plans to launch to the Moon two unmanned spacecraft – Luna-Glob and Luna-Resurs. In addition, the advanced manned transport system, which will be able to perform flight to the Moon, is being developed.

"Moreover, we plan more than just a flight to the Moon and back, but it depends on financing. Nowadays we know much more about it and we know that water has been found in subpolar regions. And now we are discussing it with NASA and ESA – we propose starting of Moon’s exploration. And there are two scenarios – whether to create a moon base or create a station near the Moon", - Popovkin said.
