Red Wings will present Tu-204Sm aircraft in Bahrain

Red Wings airline (Russia) will present Tu-204Sm aircraft on January 20th in the network of Bahrain International Air Show in Manama. This information has been published at the Alexander Lebedev’s website, chairman of the board of the National Reserve Corporation (owner of Red Wings). AEX.ru

Tu-204Sm is the advanced Russian medium-haul liner, developed by Tupolev Company. Tu-204Sm is able to carry 215 passengers for the distance of 4800 kilometers. At present Tu-204 SM is undergoing certification testing. The completion of certification tests and start of its serial production are expected in 2012. The aircraft is being manufactured by Aviastar-SP in Ulyanovsk (forms part of United Aircraft Corporation).

Tu-204Sm aircraft meets the international safety requirements (including the requirements currently implemented by ICAO), EASA and Eurocontrol requirements. It has state-of-the-art post-sales support system. The aircraft’s design service life is 60 000 hours - 45 000 flights or 25 years.

Red Wings (forms part of National Reserve Corporation) is the largest customer and operator of new-built Russian aircraft. The airline’s fleet includes 3 Тu-204-100s and 5 Тu-204-100Вs. One of the liners, manufactured in 2009, will take part in the Air Show in Manama.
