The aviation center in Torzhok has acquired new helicopters

The combat employment and retraining center in Torzhok (for the aviation personnel of Army air force) has acquired 17 new helicopters (among them are Mi-28N, Mi-35, Mi-8MTV-5 and Ka-52) in the network of arming the Russian Army with the new weapons and military equipment, press-service of Russian Ministry of Defense reports. The new helicopters will be used for pilot training and Mi-35s will also be used for training of instructors and foreign specialists. The center is also carrying out the retraining of pilots for operation of transport helicopters, Ministry of Defense noted.

Four light Ka0226 helicopters will be delivered to the center in January. These vehicles are intended for transportation of military personnel, mail and light cargo on behalf of Ministry of Defense. It is planned to acquire up to 30 light Ka-226 helicopters by 2020.
