The advanced Tu-204-300 aircraft, manufactured by Ulyanovsk-based Aviastar-SP enterprise, has been delivered to the customer, the press-service of the governor and government of Ulyanovsk Region reports. AEX.ru

The solemn ceremony has taken place on January 9th at the territory of Ulyanovsk-Vostochniy international airport.

The governor of Ulyanovsk Region, Sergey Morozov, Deputy Chairman of the government of Ulyanovsk Region, Vildan Zinnurov, Minister of Industry and Transport, Andrey Turin, CEO of Aviastar-SP, Sergey Dementyev and representatives of Rossiya special aircraft department have taken place in the ceremony.

Aviastar-SP has manufactured two Tu-204-300 aircraft for Rossiya special aircraft department in the network of the contract during the last year and a half. These aircraft have some distinctions as compared to the serial ones; in particular, Tu-204-300 aircraft are fitted with advanced flight and navigation equipment, providing implementation of all the airworthiness codes and noise footprint requirements, including the European ones. The liners have a VIP-configuration cabin with great noise suppression and state-of-the-art communications systems.

All the flight tests have confirmed the claimed aircraft performance. The enterprise’s executive management has signed the delivery and acceptance certificate for the first Tu-204-300 on January 9th.

«Such jets have a great control system, special cabin configuration suitable for work under conditions of long-range travel. We plan receiving new orders for aircraft of this type in 2012», - said Vildan Zinnurov.

Sergey Morozov said that the enterprise plans to begin the assembly of three Il-476 aircraft this year.

«In addition, we are negotiating with the Russian government on signing of a firm contract on manufacturing of An-124 Ruslan aircraft. It will help create new jobs and increase the salary of enterprise’s employees by at least 25%», - said the governor.
