Transaero acquires another Boeing 737-800 NG

Today another new-built Boeing 737-800 NG has been delivered to Transaero. It is the second jet acquired directly from the airframer’s site in accordance with the agreement signed by Transaero and Jackson Square Aviation leasing company (USA), the airline reports. AEX.ru 

The total capacity of this aircraft is 158 seats: 8 seats in business-class, 54 seats in the premium economy-class and 96 ones in the tourist economy class cabin. The aircraft has state-of-the-art Boeing Sky Interior. 

At present the Transaero’s fleet includes 70 aircraft: 19 Boeing 747s, 8 Boeing 777s, 13 Boeing 767s, 27 Boeing 737s and 3 Тu-214s. Its further expansion will be carried out in the nearest future. 

Transaero will celebrate its 20th anniversary in November 2011. It is the second largest airline of Russia. In accordance with JACDEC rating it is one of the 10 world’s safest airlines. It is the world’s 8th airline by the scope of air transportation on tourism and holiday destinations. 

Transaero has demonstrated the fastest rate changes of passenger transportation among the five Russia’s largest airlines during the first seven months of 2011: +27% by passenger turnover and +25,9% by the number of transported passengers (as compared to the same period of last year). 

Transaero has the largest fleet of long-haul wide-body aircraft in Russia, CIS Region and Eastern Europe. It is the only operator of Boeing 747 and Boeing 777 in the region. Transaero’s route network covers more than 130 destinations in Russia and foreign countries of Europe, Asia, America and Africa», - the airline noted.
