Sky Express has received the third Airbus A319

The third Airbus A319 has joined the fleet of Russian budget carrier Sky Express, the airline reports. AEX.ru

The liner, acquired under the operational leasing conditions, has arrived in Vnukovo international airport from Dublin international airport on September 28th at 21:46 Moscow time.

The A319 has been manufactured in 2004 and it has a one-class cabin configuration with 156 seats. The aircraft has been operated earlier by EasyJet. Its tail number is VQ-BLY.

At present the Sky Express’ fleet includes 10 aircraft: seven Boeing 737s and three Airbus A319s.

The Airbus aircraft have been consistently acquired by Sky Express during the last three months in the network of fleet renewal program. The first and second aircraft have been delivered to Russia on June 19th and July 29th respectively. All three aircraft will be used in the regional charter program. Sky Express has transported more than 252 thousand passengers from Samara, Belgorod, Ufa, Tyumen, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Chelyabinsk, Perm and Kaliningrad during the last 8 months within the framework of this program (+ 73% as compared to the same period of 2010). The share of charter transportation for Sky Express was 31% of the total scope.
