The regular meeting of the Board of Directors of Sheremetyevo International Airport (SIA) under the chairmanship of CEO of Vnesheconombank Investment Company (VEB Capital), Yuri Kudimov has taken place on September 28th, the airport reports. AEX.ru

The Board of Directors has approved its work plan for 2011-2012 and taken into account information regarding the activity of SIA in the first half of 2011. Sheremetyevo airport has serviced more than 10 million passengers in the first half of 2011 (+16.8% as compared to the same period of 2010). The number of takeoffs and landings has increased by 15,2% to 98,2 thousand. The net profit of SIA in accordance with Russian Accounting Standards was 2 billion 936 million rubles in the first half of 2011, the revenues a=have increased by 11% to 4 billion 196 million rubles.

The increase of the main indicators of SIA is connected with the successful accomplishment of flight program and effective management of production and business processes, Sheremetyevo noted.

Sheremetyevo intends to service more than 22 million passengers in 2011, continue the expansion of route network and development of cooperation with the airlines and business partners.

The Board of Directors has taken into account information regarding status of implementation of the project of unification of SIA and Terminal, and the project of attracting an operator for management of Vladivostok airport and the further stages of Sheremetyevo’s property.

The Board of Directors has also considered information regarding development of ground and technological infrastructure of cargo transportation at Sheremetyevo airport. The aim of the project is creation of cargo hub and construction of state-of-the-art international cargo enterprise at Sheremetyevo airport. The project’s investors are Kratos Group and Interros holding company.

We remind you that in accordance with the instruction of Federal Agency for State Property Management on decisions of annual shareholders meeting of SIA, the new Board of Directors has been elected on June 30th. At present it includes: CEO of VEB Capital, Yuri Kudimov (Chairman), Deputy Chairman of Moscow Region Government – Minister of Transport of Moscow Region, Petr Katsiv, Deputy Chairman of Federal Air Transport Agency Konstantin Makhov, the counselor of CEO of Gas-turbine Engineering Research and Production Center Salut Yuri Medvedev, CEO of Sheremetyevo International Airport Mikhail Vasilenko. CEO of Center of new and innovative technologies Anna Belova, President of ONEKSIM Mikhail Prokhorov, Deputy CEO of Polymetal Zumrud Rustamova and Managing Director of United Industrial Corporation Vsevolod Vukolov are forming part of the Board as the independent directors.
