The first serial deliveries of Yak-130 operational trainers will be started by Irkutsk aviation plant this year, ITAR-TASS reports. It has been reported by the president of Irkut Corporation, Alexey Fedorov, during the Baikal economic forum.

"About 30 fighters have already been assembled or undergoing the final assembly at the moment", - he said. According to him, the first 16 vehicles will be delivered to Algeria this year.

"Another contract – with Libya, is unfortunately frozen due to understandable reasons. We cannot predict its future fate. But anyway, the aircraft made for this country will be delivered to another customer, first of all, the Russian air forces", - Fedorov noted. "We will coordinate a contract with the Ministry of Defence, and I think that we will start the deliveries in the beginning of next year", - the president of Irkut reported.
