Aeroflot – Russian Airlines has acquired Airbus А330-300. The aircraft has been named after Mikhail Sholokhov, the famous Russian writer, Nobel laureate, the airline reports. AEX.ru
Thus, Aeroflot’s fleet includes 12 long-haul A-330 family jets. The jet is one of 11 A-330-300s ordered in 2010 acquired directly from Airbus. Aeroflot has acquired such jets earlier under the conditions of operational leasing.
А330-300s are delivered to Aeroflot directly from airframer’s site. The aircraft has a range of 10500 km. Its capacity is 302 passengers. The jets are equipped with Rolls-Royce Trent 772В engines.
"Aeroflot acquires А330-300s with a two-class cabin configuration: 34 seats in business-class and 268 – in the economy-class. The new jets are prepared for installation of equipment providing an access to internet and mobile services for the passengers. А330 aircraft is equipped with state-of-the-art Panasonic eX2 in-flight entertainment system, the passengers of every class have an access to a new entertainment program ", - the airline noted.
"A 330 wide-bodies provide a high level of comfort enabling usage of chair configuration and classes of service able to meet different passengers’ requirements. The comfortable cocoon-type chairs are installed in business-class cabin. The seat pitch in the economy class has been increased. Aeroflot is operating А330s on international and domestic flights. The new jet will help increase the frequency of flight on the most popular destinations", - Aeroflot stated.
