Russian airlines have transported more than 34.8 million passengers during the first months of 2011

The Federal Air Transport Agency has summarized the results of Russian airlines’ activities during a period of time from January to July 2011. AEX.ru 

In accordance with the agency’s statistics, the passenger turnover of Russian airlines during this period was 90 198 697,50 thousand passenger-kilometers (+ 12,4% as compared to the same period in 2010). The cargo turnover was 2 735 165, 99 thousand ton-kilometers (in the last year it was 2 614 742,99 thousand ton-kilometers).

Russian airlines have transported 34 837 577 passengers during this period of time (+ 11,7% as compared to 2010). The scope of transported cargo and mail was 535 141.24 tons (+ 5,5% as compared to the last year). The passenger load factor was 76% and the commercial load factor was 64,2%.

The Russian airlines have transported 7 540 817 passengers (+14,2%) and 86 803 tons of cargo and mail  (+9%) during July 2011.

The following five airlines were the leaders by passenger traffic during the period from January to July 2011: Aeroflot - 7 709 013 passengers (+22,6% as compared to the same period in 2010), Transaero -  4 474 830 passengers (+25,9%), UTair - 2 914 826 passengers (+12,5%), Sibir’ - 2 780 971 passengers (+3%), Rossiya - 1 910 372 passengers (+9,9%).

As for cargo transportation, the leaders for this period of time are: AirBridgeCargo - 202 668,2 tons of cargo and mail (+20,6% as compared to the same period in 2010), Aeroflot - 84 961,3 tons (-6,7%), Volga-Dnepr - 36 127,2 tons (-36,2%), Polet - 33 701,1 tons (+39,5%), Transaero - 25 731,8 tons (+35%).
