Ukraine and Russia have signed a protocol on batch production of Аn-148-100

Ukraine and Russia have agreed on joint batch production of An-148-100 and its modifications, different modifications of АI-222-28 and D-36-МB engines, Interfax Ukraine reports with reference to State corporate rights and property management agency. 

The head of the Agency, Dmitry Kolesnikov, and the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, Denis Manturov, have signed the corresponding protocol in Moscow on Friday regarding making changes and annexes in the Agreement between governments of Russia and Ukraine on cooperation in the area of development, production, deliveries and operation of aircraft from August 20th 1997. 

The parties have also agreed on deliveries of spare parts and components during the whole service life of the aircraft. 

"The protocol, which has been signed today, not only strengthens the cooperation between Russian and Ukrainian aircraft industries, but also assigns new important tasks. This cooperation will result in increase of competitiveness and gaining a full confidence in our aircraft", - said Kolesnikov. 

The protocol signed in Moscow is the essential part of the agreement between Russian and Ukrainian governments and it is already of effect, the Ukrainian Agency noted.
