VEB-Leasing will provide leasing of 24 Sukhoi Superjet 100s to UTair

VEB-Leasing (subsidiary of Vnesheconombank), UTair Aviation and Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (SCA) have signed a financial leasing contract in the network of International aerospace show MAKS-2011, SCA reports. AEX.ru

On the part of VEB-Leasing the document has been signed by the Chairman of Vnesheconombank, Vladimir Dmitriev, on the part of UTair Aviation – CEO of the airline, Andrey Martirosov, on the part of SCA – president of UAC, Mikhail Pogosyan. The head of the government of Russia, Vladimir Putin has also taken part in the ceremony.

The contract assumes the acquisition of 24 SSJ 100s from SCA by VEB-Leasing and delivery of the jets to UTair Aviation under the conditions of long-term financial leasing.

The total amount of the deal is $760,8 million in list prices.

"The implementation of this project will contribute to the renewal of UTair’s fleet, development of regional transportation and improvement of the quality of service at the air transport market", - the company reports.
