Russian Technologies and Boeing will create system of spare parts and repair distribution in Russia

Aircraft Engineering Concern, forming part of Russian Technologies State Corporation, Boeing and its subsidiary AVIALL have signed a strategic cooperation agreement on creation of system of spare parts and repair distribution in the network of MAKS-2011, Boeing reports. AEX.ru

CEO of Russian Technologies, Sergey Chemezov has taken part in the signing ceremony. The agreement has been signed by CEO of Aircraft Engineering Concern, Andrey Ribin, and president, General Manager of AVIALL, Den Komnenovich.

The agreement assumes strategic cooperation on creation of indigenous system of spare parts and components distribution and the system of post-sales support in Russia and CIS Region.

In accordance with the signed agreement, Aviall will provide services in forecasting and personnel training to Russian Technologies along with technologies and air-technical property for distribution at the Russian market. The new agreement will provide access to state-of-the-art infrastructure of information technologies for airlines and MRO organizations, which will allow them to connect to the Russian Technologies’ network within the framework of a single IT-system. This link will allow airlines increase the efficiency of their aircraft’s operation, minimize or evade the jets’ grounding due to the failures and decrease operational costs.

According to Anrey Ribin, “cooperation with one of the world’s aerospace industry leaders, one of the largest manufacturers of civil aircraft, in the area of creation of distribution system and MRO infrastructure will enable using the state-of-the-art technologies and Know-how in the area of logistic support, production and repair of components for different types of aircraft. It will also allow usage of modern control systems including lean production methods, successfully used by Boeing.

The creation and functioning of service system of international standard will help airlines increase the flight safety level and optimize operational costs for aircraft made by Western airframers and UAC by providing access to operational and high-quality maintenance at one of the Moscow’s main airports.
