Airbus has signed a memorandum of cooperation with VEB-Leasing

Airbus has signed a memorandum of cooperation with VEB-Leasing in the area of financing and aircraft leasing. The agreement has been signed during MAKS-2011 airshow by Christopher Buckley, Airbus vice-president, Europe, Asia and Pacific Region, and Vyacheslav Solovyev, CEO of VEB-Leasing. AEX.ru

Airbus and VEB-Leasing plan to exchange experience, expertise and information in the area of aircraft financing including structuring of operational and financial leasing deals and portfolio management.

According to the memorandum, VEB-Leasing will also support companies from Russia and CIS Region in the area of financial borrowing for preliminary payments and payments for delivery of both new Airbus aircraft and the ones from secondary market with participation of European export credit agencies.

According to Vyacheslav Solovyev, the signing of the memorandum of cooperation with Airbus will strengthen the business relations between the parties improving the quality of service and competitiveness at the aircraft leasing market. It will also contribute to renewal of Russian and CIS Region airlines’ fleet by acquiring the state-of-the-art aircraft.

"Our cooperation with VEB-Leasing will contribute to the further development of operational and financial leasing market in Russia and CIS Region. It will also allow us offer new comprehensive and innovative financial solutions to the airlines" – said Chris Buckley. - "We will continue supporting our customers and helping them find the optimal ways of financing for acquisition of Airbus aircraft".
