A new short-range Morphey air defense system will be created in Russia, Gazeta.ru reports with reference to the Commander in Chief of the Russian air forces, Alexander Zelin. 

«It is a short-range system with a maximum range of around 50 km. It is intended for protection of military facilities and has an active and passive combat equipment», – said Zelin. 

«Morphey will eliminate everything that moves in the air within a radius of 50 kilometers», – he added.
