The inspections of Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft by EASA experts have been started

The experts of European Aviation Safety Agency have started the inspections of Sukhoi Superjet 100 (RRJ-95B) aircraft on June 27th at Blagnac airfield in Toulouse within the framework of IAC aviation registry type certificate validation by the European certification authorities, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (SCA) reports. The conformance inspections will be carried out during period from June 27th to July 10th 2011. The inspections are aimed at ensuring the conformity of the aircraft’s systems and design to EASA’s requirements. About 15 flights with the participation of EASA’s pilots will be performed within the network of this work.

«The acquisition of EASA certificate is one of the top-priority objectives of SSJ100 program and its partners this year. We hope to continue our productive work with EASA and we will do our best to achieve the desired goal, all the more so, SJI plans to start the deliveries of these jets to a Mexican customer –Interjet airline - in 2012. In addition, I am sure that the European certification will encourage growth of our backlog by means of international orders», - the First Vice-president, Development and Certification, Igor Vinogradov, noted.

  The new Superjet100 (RA-89140) has been handed over to Red Wings. This is the 200th aircraft of this type produced by the United Aircraft Corporation and the first SSJ leased to the airline from PSB Leasing. The term of the contract is 20 years. Another 3 aircraft of this type were received by the airline this year from STLC. For the aircraft, an inverse version of the airline's livery was chosen (not the standard white and red, but red and white).
