The total in-flight simulator for Sukhoi Superjet-100 has been delivered to Moscow

Volga-Dnepr airline has delivered the total in-flight simulator for training of Sukhoi Superjet-100’s pilots from Chalons (France) to Moscow, the airline’s press-service reports. The delivery of the cargo has been performed on July 20th in accordance with Sukhoi Civil Aircraft’s order.AEX.ru

Two flights have been performed for delivery of the simulator, manufactured by Thales Training & Simulation (France): one flight using An-124-100, and the other one – using Il-76ТD-90VD. In spite of the equipment’s total weight being only 40 tons, its over-dimensioned components have almost occupied the whole aircraft cargo compartments.

Both aircraft have departed almost simultaneously from Vatry airport on July 20th 07.30 Moscow time, and have arrived in Ramenskoe airport after three and a half hours.

«It has been initially planned to carry out the transportation using two An-124-100s due to over-sized cargo. But then we have developed a loading scheme which allowed using another aircraft from Volga-Dnepr’s fleet - Il-76ТD-90VD. As a result, we have been able to offer the optimal variant of transportation to our customer, not only from the economical point of view, but also from the technical one», – the lead manager, sales, of Volga-Dnepr, Sergey Lenivin, has noted.
