Transaero has acquired the 65th aircraft in the network of fleet expansion and renewal program. It was the long-haul wide-body Boeing 747-400, the company reports. AEX.ru
This aircraft has 375 seats and its cabin has a three-class configuration. The first-class cabin Imperial has 12 seats which may be transformed into comfortable beds. The business-class has 50 cocoon-type chairs. Economy class cabin has 313 seats with seat pitch of 81 cm.
This aircraft has joined the Transaero’s fleet in the network of development of its partnership with Singapore Airlines. It is the first aircraft out of five, which are being acquired from Singaporean carrier. Transaero and Singapore Airlines have signed a code-sharing agreement on July 2011 regarding joint operation of some flights.
This aircraft will perform its first passenger flight from Moscow to Khabarovsk on July 23rd. A new Transaero’s dish will be presented to the passengers of economy and business-class during this flight. In-flight meals for first and business-class passengers are provided by famous Moscow restaurant Pushkin.
«The delivery of one more Boeing 747 strengthens the position of Transaero as the owner of the largest fleet of long-haul wide-body aircraft in Russia, CIS Region and Eastern Europe. At present Transaero’s fleet includes 65 aircraft: 17 Boeing-747s, 8 Boeing-777s, 13 Boeing-767s, 24 Boeing-737s and 3 Тu-214s. Its further expansion is expected in the nearest future», - the company noted.
