Irkut Corporation will deliver 30 Su-30SMs to Russian Ministry of Defense

Irkut Corporation is assembling two Su-30SMs. The president of Irkut Corporation, Alexey Fedorov, told journalists about it. AEX.ru

«At present the enterprise is assembling two Su-30SMs. We plan to start their flight testing in the end of this year», - said Fedorov.

«We intend to sign a contract with the Russian air forces on delivery of 18 Su-30SMs in 2012 with an option on 12 fighters for the Navy», - Alexey Fedorov added.

Su-30SM aircraft is an adapted for MoD’s technical requirements version of Su-30MKI.
