Another aircraft of this type will be delivered to the airline by the end of this summer.
Both jets have a two-class cabin with 118 seats. Both aircraft are equipped with special wing tips - winglets, increasing their fuel efficiency.
The expansion of the fleet is connected with dynamic development of AeroSvit’s route network. The carrier has increased the flying intensity on most of the routes in March-June 2011, has opened 7 new destinations to cities of Western and Central Europe, Russia and Kazakhstan, and also has started flying to Samarkand in July.
Thanks to the opening of new destinations and increasing the number of flights on the existing routes, AeroSvit will increase the flying intensity by 27,5% up to 850 flights per week at the peak of this season as compared with the last year, the airline reports.
At present AeroSvit is operating 21 Boeing aircraft, including 7 long-haul Boeing 767-300ERs and 14 medium-haul Boeing 737s Classic series (taking into account additional В737-500 already being put into operation). AeroSvit is also using aircraft of partner-carriers, in particular Airbus 320, Airbus 321, Embraer 145, Embraer 195 and Antonov An-148.
