The Sukhoi Company’s Board of Directors has taken some significant personnel decisions during today’s meeting. President of UAC, Mikhail Pogosyan has been elected Chairman of the Board, the company reports. AEX.ru

Due to Mikhail Pogosyan being elected president of UAC, the decision on his dismissal as CEO of Sukhoi Company has been taken.

The new CEO of Sukhoi Company is Igor Azar, who has been holding an appointment of First Deputy Director General of Sukhoi Company on economics and finance and also the COO of Sukhoi design bureau.

«Igor Ozar is one of the most efficient managers in Russian aircraft industry. During the period of 12 years he has strengthen the financial stability of our company and taken part in launch and implementation of Sukhoi’s most important programs - Su-35, PAK FA, «Sukhoi Superjet 100», - commented Mikhail Pogosyan on the appointment of Igor Ozar.

I.Y. Ozar was born in Moscow in 1961; he graduated from The State University of Management in 1984. He has been working in Sukhoi design bureau since 1999 as a Deputy Director General on economics and finance – chief financial officer; he has been appointed COO of the design bureau in 2007.
