The United Aircraft Corporation’s Board of Directors has considered and approved a new organizational structure of the corporation. It will help enhance the role of UAC in management of current and prospective aviation programs, UAC reports. AEX.ru
The organizational structure has been developed in accordance with corporation’s new aims set by the new UAC’s Strategy of development for the period until 2025. The main provisions of the new strategy have been approved by the UAC’s Board of Directors during a meeting held on May 23rd 2011.
The experience gained during implementation of corporation’s operating plans points at necessity of coordination of program management within the framework of parent company. Thus, one of the approved structure’s key elements is control block for aviation programs represented by program directorates on military, civil, transport and special aviation. The directorates are subdued to president of UAC.
Innovations, technologies and pilot projects are one of the key factors in aircraft industry development. That is why a position of Vice-president, programs and innovations, has been created as one of the key elements of corporation’s management structure. He will manage all the divisions responsible for scientific and technical, technological development and innovations.
The position of Senior Vice-president has been created for coordination of activities connected with reorganization and consolidation of resources on transport aviation programs and development of joint Russia-Ukraine programs. He will manage the directorate of transport aviation programs.
The corporation’s executive vice-president will be responsible for development of a single policy for external communications, forming the management system meeting the shareholders’ requirements. These functions have earlier been executed by vice-president on corporate development and management and vice president on administrative problems, whose positions have now been eliminated.
According to the new structure, UAC now has 5 vice-presidents instead of 9.
