Soyuz ТМА-02М with ISS crew has been launched from Baikonur

The successful launch of space rocket Soyuz-FG with a manned spaceship Soyuz TMA-02M has been performed on June 8th 2011 at 00.12.45 Moscow time from Baikonur by the launch crew of Roscosmos’ enterprises, the Roscosmos’ press-service reports. AEX.ru

As reported by the mission control center, the ship has been placed into orbit at 00.21 Moscow time, after the regular separation of the carrier rocket’s third stage with the following parameters:

minimal height – 199.98 km;
maximal height - 257,78 km;
orbit time - 88,80 min;
inclination - 51,67 degrees.

The ship’s crew headed to the ISS includes: commander, the Hero of the Russian Federation, Sergey Volkov (Roscosmos) and onboard engineers from NASA – Michael Fossum and Jax Satoshi Furukava.

Soyuz TMA-02M should dock with ISS on June 10th at 01.22 Moscow time.

The ship’s crew will join the crew of ISS-28: Andrey Borisenko (Roscosmos), Alexander Samokutyaev (Roscosmos) and Ronald Garan (NASA).
