Vnesheconombank, Coface and SACE export credit agencies have arranged for development of scheme for selling Superjets

A solemn ceremony of signing triangular agreement between State Corporation “The Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)”, French export credit agency Coface and Italian export credit agency SACE has taken place during conference on export financing in G20-format in Paris, France, the VEB’s press-service reports. On the part of Russia the document has been signed by the Chairman of Vnesheconombank, Vladimir Dmitriev, on the part of France – CEO of Coface, Jean Marc Pillu, on the part of Italy – CEO of SACE, Alessandro Castellano.

The agreement is aimed at forming the integrated finance system for international sales of Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft using credit-leasing scheme of financing for exporting the jets under the insurance coverage of SACE and Coface export credit agencies.

The organization of Vnesheconombank’s finance for sales of Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft by joint Russian-Italian venture Superjet International S.p.A. has been approved by the bank’s supervisory board in December 2010.

The agreement has been signed within the framework of development of arrangements made in October 2010 during multilateral negotiations at Vnesheconombank with participation of French Ministry of Finance, Russian Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Economic Development, SACE and Coface export credit agencies, Finmeccanica S.p.A., Sukhoi Company, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft and Superjet International S.p.A.

The performance of this agreement will strengthen the cooperation between Vnesheconombank, SACE and Coface, and also will help diversify risks during financing the deliveries of Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft. It will support the development of Russian export, the bank’s press-service noted.
