Russia will invest in Flight Safety Fund

Russian government has taken the decision on participating in the non-commercial Flight Safety Fund founded by International Civil Aviation Association (ICAO) and paying the annual voluntary contribution of $120 thousand to the Fund, Rosbalt reports. The corresponding instruction has been signed by Vladimir Putin.

Russian Ministry of Transport has been instructed to assign funds available due to closing of non-commercial International Finance Facility for Flight Safety fund ($300 864) for paying the contribution to ICAO’s budget in 2011.

Russia will annually pay the voluntary contribution to the Fund, including 2011, at the expense of budgetary provisions, assigned to the Ministry of Transport from the federal budget and for the planning period in 2012 and 2013 according to subchapter of “International relations and international cooperation” of the “Nation-wide issues” chapter of budget’s expenditure classification for paying the contributions to international organizations.

Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Finance have been instructed to make provisions for necessary budget allocations for paying the voluntary contribution to the Fund while forming the project of federal budget for the next fiscal year.
