Yakutia Airlines have acquired another Boeing 737 NG

The third Yakutia Airlines’ newly-acquired Boeing 737-700 has arrived at Vnukovo airport on June 17th 2011. The aircraft has performed a direct flight from Ferihed, Budapest, where it has been undergoing preliminary maintenance at Aeroplex airbase, the company reported. AEX.ru

Boeing 737-700 with с registration number VQ-BLT has been acquired using a “dry lease” scheme from “Aviation Capital Group”. The contract signing and inspection of aircraft has been performed in summer 2010.

This limer is able to carry 132 passengers in a two-class cabin for a distance up to 6200 km with a flight speed of 850 km/h. 737 VQ-BLT will be used for interregional and international flights.

This is the third Boeing 737-700 and the fifth representative of «Next Generation» family in Yakutia Airlines’ fleet. The first Boeing 737-700 has been delivered to Yakutia in July 2009. Yakutia Airlines is the third operator of this aircraft type in Russia. The first delivery of this aircraft type has been performed by Boeing in December 1997.

The 737 family aircraft are the best-selling jets in the history of civil aviation: at present more than 6100 737 jets are being operated worldwide, which is more than 25% of world’s large aircraft fleet.
