Aeroflot has put 42nd Airbus A320 into operation

Aeroflot – Russian Airlines has received the 42nd Airbus A320, the company’s press-service reports. AEX.ru

The aircraft has been name after Vladimir Ivanovich Vernadsky, a famous Soviet scientist, naturalist, the founder of biogeochemistry. At present, Aeroflot’s fleet includes 75 aircrafts of А319/320/321 family, the average age of these liners is 3,6 years.

The jet has been acquired in the network of operational leasing deal made in 2008. The leasing company is GECAS (USA).

All the jets have been delivered directly from the manufacturer’s sight. The jets have a two-class cabin with 116 (А319), 140 (А320) and 170 (А321) seats. Aeroflot operates the jets from A320 family on European and domestic flights. Aeroflot is among the world’s leading companies by reliability-performance measures and the actual time in the air per aircraft, the company reported.
