United Aircraft Corportion – UAC, may design a regional aircraft Sukhoi SuperJet 100 with a business furnishing, Gazeta.ru reports.

«We will take a decision on creation of business version on the basis of SSJ-100 in the nearest future», – said Mikhail Pogosyan, president of UAC, noting that the “new model will be like Gulfstream and Boeing Business Jet».

The possibility of SSJ-100 business version development has already appeared three months after the first commercial flight of the liner.

The Armenian airline Armavia, which received its first SSJ 100 on April 19th, gave “very positive” comments on the jet, Pogosyan noted. During three weeks of operation the airline has not encountered any problems with the jet.

Aeroflot has become the first Russian airline to receive SSJ 100. The carrier has received the jet on June 9th. The jet will perform its first passenger flight from Moscow to St. Petersburg on June 16th. The carrier plans to acquire 40 such jets.

Mikhail Pogosyan has also noted that the new customers for SSJ-100 may be unveiled at Paris air show in Le Bourget, noting that “UAC has several contracts with South-East Asian airlines, which might be signed in the nearest future”. «We also plan to sign contracts with European airlines this year, not only with Western Europe’s airlines but also with the ones from Western Europe», – he added.
