UTair Group which includes UTair airline, UTair Express, UTair-Ukraine, UTair Cargo, Nefteyugansk United Airline Transportation Company, Helisur, UTair Europe s.r.o., UTair South Africa (Pty) Ltd and UTair India, continues to demonstrate a steady growth of performance indicators, the group’s press-service reports. The UTair Group’s passenger turnover for the period from January to May 2011 was 3 779 462,2 thousand passengers-kilometers. It has increased by 33,2% as compared to the last year’s figures. It should be noted that the industry average growth of this indicator was 11,1%.

Other business performance factors of UTair Group have also increased during the accounting reference period. The aircrafts and helicopters operated by the Group have transported 2 510 228 passengers which exceeds the result of January-May 2010 by 27,6% (the number of passengers carried by UTair’s helicopters has increased by 74%). While the industry average growth of passenger traffic was 9,7%.

The Group’s aircrafts have transported 6 526,7 tons of cargo which exceeds the similar indicator for 2010 by 13,5%, and 1 935,4 tons of mail (the increase of 35,9% as compared to the same period in 2010). Utair Group’s aircrafts have spent 90 205 hours airborne, which is greater than the flight time of January-May 2010 by 20,5%. The flight time of helicopters was 43 988 hours, exceeding the similar last year’s indicator by 15,2%. UTair’s rotary-wing vehicles have transported more than 43 118,6 tons of cargo; the indicator’s increase was 5,1%.
