S7 Airlines, forming part of oneworld® alliance, has declared the fact of new Boeing 737-800NG acquisition with alliance’s livery. AEX.ru
The liner has been delivered to Globus airline (performs flights under the brand of S7 Airlines) under conditions of leasing directly from manufacturer’s site. It is the 42nd aircraft in S7 Airlines’ fleet.
S7 Airlines has entered the global aviation alliance in November 2010. In accordance with oneworld’s requirements, a part of airlines’ fleet must have the alliance’s livery. The fuselage of new Boeing 737-800NG is decorated with superscription “Member of oneworld” on the white background and logo of S7 Airlines.

The jet was greeted in a solemn atmosphere by “water salute” (crossed fire jets from fire-fighting vehicles) at Domodedovo. New Boeing 737-800NG is being based at Domodedovo airport and it performs flights to St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Sochi, Krasnodar, Norilsk, Yakutsk, Ulan-ude and other cities from S7 Airlines’ route network.
The liner has 160 passenger seats: 12 seats in business-class and 148 – in economy class. The jet’s cabin is equipped with modern passenger chairs from Recaro, making the flight even more comfortable.
At present S7 Airlines has one of the most modern and “young” fleets in Russia. S7 Airlines uses aircraft from the leading airframers – Airbus and Boeing. The fleet of S7 Airlines includes 42 aircrafts: 20 Airbus A319s, 9 Airbus A320s, one Airbus A310, two long-haul Boeing 767-300s, four Boeing 737-400s and six Boeing 737-800NGs.
