Russian Helicopters and VEB-Leasing have signed an agreement on partnership at the Latin America market

Russian Helicopters holding company forming part of Oboronprom and VEB-Leasing leasing company have signed the agreement on strategic partnership at the aviation market of Latin America, where an increase of demand for Russian civil helicopters has been forecasted. The signed documents assumes the provision of leasing services to companies from Latin America willing to acquire new Russian civil helicopters. AEX.ru

«We keep searching for new partnership forms with operators of civil helicopters at the growing market of Latin America, - said CEO of Russian Helicopters Dmitriy Petrov. – We are glad to cooperate with our new partners from VEB-Leasing and we are making a package proposal to our Latin customers, which includes not only deliveries of helicopters but also crew training, post-sales services and the most profitable conditions of civil helicopters’ leasing».

At present Russian Helicopters occupy about 20% of Latin America’s market of military helicopters and only 2% of civil helicopters’ market. Simultaneously a great need of leasing services in the civil segment has arisen. In particular, companies from Peru, Mexico, Argentina, Bolivia and some other countries have taken interest in leasing of Russian helicopters and made the respective inquiries.

According to the CEO of VEB-Leasing Vyacheslav Solovyev, the partnership between Russian Helicopters and VEB-Leasing is intended for provision of services to financially stable companies from Latin America ready for long-term leasing of Russian helicopters with an option of further repurchase.

In case of successful realization of program for leasing of helicopters in South and Central America, Russian Helicopters and VEB-Leasing are ready to consider the possibility of using the same instrument in other regions including CIS Region, Asia and Africa.

We remind you that Russian Helicopters and Brazilian invest group Qualy Group Brasil have signed an association agreement on cooperation in promotion of Mi-34S1 in Brazil on the basis of dealer agreement. The document assumes the delivery of 150 new Mi-34S1 light Russian Helicopters to be performed by 2023.

Another agreement has been signed with Brazilian commercial operator Аtlas Taxi Aereo (subsidiary of Qualy Group Brasil) regarding the creation of technical service center for maintenance of multirole Mi-171A1 helicopters in Brazil. In addition, another agreement has been signed with Helipark Taxi Aereo, regarding creation of technical service center for maintenance of multirole Ka-32A11VS helicopters.

The start of dialogue between Russian Helicopters and Brazilian consulting company Logitec Consultoría em Logística Ltda regarding cooperative promotion of Russian holding company in Brazil was a very important step.
