Russia and EADS want to deepen the cooperation and develop new projects

Minister of industry and trade, Viktor Khristenko, has held a meeting with president of EADS Louis Gallois and special representative of the president of France on economic issues, Jean-Pierre Toma, the ministry reports. AEX.ru

The president of UAC Mikhail Pogosyan, CEO of Oboronprom Andrey Reus and CEO of Russian Helicopters Dmitriy Petrov have also taken part in the meeting.

The cooperation between Russian companies and EADS in the area of civil aircraft construction has been discussed during the meeting.

In particular, cooperation between UAC and Airbus has been discussed, especially the production of elements for the company’s programs, cooperation in the area of А320/А321 passenger aircraft conversion to cargo version.

The parties have spoken for deepening the cooperation and possible new projects in the area of defense industry and security, personnel training, IT and construction of helicopters.
