Russian Helicopters has delivered Ka-32A11BC air rescue helicopter to the EMERCOM

Russian Helicopters holding company forming part of Oboronprom Corporation, has delivered new air rescue helicopter with medical module to EMERCOM, the holding’s press-service reports. The helicopter has been delivered in the framework of contract signed with EMERCOM in 2009 on delivery of five Ka-32A11BC ambulance version helicopters ready for installation of fire-fighting equipment. The solemn ceremony of helicopter’s delivery with the participation of Minister of EMERCOM Sergey Shoygu and CEO of Russian Helicopters Dmitriy Petrov has taken part during 4th International ISSE show, which has been opened on May 17th in Moscow.

The joint program “Provisioning of aviation-rescue units of EMERCOM with helicopters”, signed by Russian Helicopters and EMERCOM Aviation Administration in November 2009 includes the delivery of helicopters for creating an infrastructure of federal highways integrated safety and security by using aviation technologies, aviation rescue service and helicopter ambulance crew. It is planned that EMERCOM Aviation Administration will acquire 62 light helicopters and 123 medium helicopters in the network of this program.

According to some experts, Ka-32A11BC is one of the world’s best rescue and fire-fighting helicopters. According to the information of state aviation rescue structures and commercial operators from different countries, these helicopters are successfully used for fire-fighting and public order maintenance, they take part in rescue and relief operations, special forces raids and patrolling missions.

The Ka-32A11BC helicopter equipped with medical module and delivered to EMERCOM of Russia will be demonstrated at HeliRussia 2011 show opening at Krokus Expo on May 19th 2011. Russian Helicopters will demonstrate new and serial military and civil helicopters at pavilion №1, hall 4, stand 1E.
