Aeroflot – Russian Airlines has received its 39th Airbus А320. The aircraft has been named after Sofia Kovalevskaya, the famous Russian mathematician, writer, the first Russian woman awarded a professor academic title, the airline reported. AEX.ru
The company’s fleet includes 72 jets from the family of А319/320/321 at the moment, jets’ average age is 3,6 years. The aircraft has been acquired in the network of operational leasing deal carried out in 2008. The leasing company is BOC Aviation (Ireland) Limited.
"All the jets are directly from airframer’s site. The jets’ cabins have a two-class configuration with 116 (А319), 140 (А320) and 170 (А321) passenger seats. Aeroflot operates the jets from А320 family in its European and domestic flight network.
