The engineering simulator has been created by CSTS Dinamika in accordance with Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute’s order for the purposes of supporting research and design work on MS-21 project. AEX.ru

The engineering simulator is intended for solving a wide range of problems, for example:

-drill of remote control system’s main and standby circuits algorithms;
-remote control system’s structure and parameters adjustment;
-drill of pilotage technique while performing main regular flight phases (taxiing, takeoff, climb, cruising, descent, approach, landing, taxiing after the landing);
-drill of abnormal operations and pilotage technique suitable for contingencies, caused by external impact or failures of control system, powerplant, etc;
-support of flight testing and certification procedure.

The stand also has additional capabilities of performing cross-country flights using integrated navigation system in different meteorological conditions, approach and landing in different lighting conditions, performing flights using duplicate instruments, drill of actions during abnormal operations on different flight stages, modeling and evaluation of control levels and interior elements.

The work has been distributed as follows: the specialists of Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute have performed a mathematical simulations of jet’s flight dynamics and control systems using FlightSim program system, the cockpit’s mockup and simulator’s visualization system have been created by CSTS Dinamika.

The cockpit’s mockup is the exact copy of jet’s cockpit with two pilots’ seats. The simulator’s panoramic visualization system is four-channel projective display system with viewing angles 180 degrees horizontally and 52 degrees vertically. The visualization scene with dimensions of 250 km x 300 km including 5 airports forms part of image generation software. A remote engineer station used for research work, modeling results analysis and input of the initial conditions, also forms part of the simulator.
"The participation of CSTS Dinamika in MS-21 project is very important for the company, since it may become the manufacturer of comprehensive simulator for pilot training with the highest complexity level according to ICAO classification and also a procedural simulator ", - Dinamika’s press-service reported.
