Vitaliy Savelyev: Aeroflot is going to double its fleet in the next 10-15 years

Aeroflot – Russian airlines is going to double its fleet in the next 10-15 years. Aeroflot will have 300 jets at its disposal, Prime-TASS reports with reference to Tribune. CEO of Aeroflot, Vitaliy Savelyev has told the French newspaper about it during his interview.

"At present we have 150 aircrafts at our disposal, - he said. – We will have more than 300 in the next 10-15 years. In particular, Russian aircraft will form 40% of our fleet and the rest 60% will be Boeing and Airbus aircraft. The company plans to carry 70 million passengers a year by 2020-2025".

As for cooperation with the leading European airframer Airbus, CEO of Aeroflot has declared the airline’s intention to acquire А320 Neo.
