The operation of reconstructed runway has begun at Vladivostok’s airport

The operation of reconstructed runway №1 of Vladivostok’s airport has been started at 11:00 (local time) on April 15th. AEX.ru

The first flight from this runway has been performed at 11:14 by S7 airline’s А-320 en-route Vladivostok-Irkutsk-Novosibirsk. The first landing on the runway has been completed by Aeroflot’s Boeing-767 arriving from Moscow at 11:55. The runway has already accommodated more than six flights. The crews performing flights from the runway have appreciated its condition and work of lighting, radio-technical and meteorological equipment.

The technical specifications of this runway allow to accommodate almost every type of Russian and foreign aircraft. The runway has been conferred category II in accordance with ICAO classification, which allows operating in conditions of horizontal visibility not less than 350 meters and cloud base height not less than 30 meters.
