According to ITAR-TASS, Russia is ready to offer Brazil Su-35 fighters with the complete cycle of licensed production. The head of Rosoboronexport’s regional department, Sergey Ladigin, has declared this intention. He is the head of Rosoboronexport’s delegation at international exhibition of aviation and defense systems opened yesterday in Rio de Janeiro.

"Brazil has been taking interest in Sukhoi aircraft for a long time ", - he noted. He reminded that these jets have almost won the “Brazilian tender, which has been cancelled later by the Brazilian authorities for some internal reasons”.

The tender has been opened again in 2008, but that time the Russian jets have not been a part of the “short list”. However, the Rosoboronexport’s representative believes that it is not the end of the story. "We have submitted a number of official addresses to the Brazilian party, including the top-level addresses, specifying that Russia is ready to offer a maximum offset program with a maximum level of Brazil’s industrial participation, in case we are to become a part of this tender again (if the tender is to be opened for the third time)", - said Ladigin.

"We offer the development of maintenance facilities for these jets along with complete cycle of the jet’s licensed production in Brazil" – he explained. "I think it is hard to imagine a more complete offer on industrial participation with a maximum provision of technological and manufacturing capabilities", - stated the Rosoboronexport’s representative.
