The national aircraft industry center is going to be created in Zhukovsky

According to ARMS-TASS, the national aircraft industry center is going to be created in Zhukovsky. The Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin has announced this fact during trans-regional conference of "Edinaya Rossiya" party.

"Our main aviation design bureaus and research institutes, for example legendary Central Aerohydrodynamics Institute, are located in Central Federal District, - he said. - And we must use this technological resource for development of our economics effectively. Thus, we are creating the national aircraft industry center in Zhukovsky".

Head of the government has noted that Gromov Flight Research Institute, pilot factories of Sukhoi, Ilyushin, Yakovlev, Tupolev and MiG will form a part of this center. "We intend to form a powerful and high-tech research and manufacturing cluster on the base of this center, - said Putin. - Per se, an innovation zone will be created for the purpose of our aviation development ".

Head of the government has also reminded that the state has not abandoned the support of aircraft industry during period of crisis. About 200 billion roubles have been submitted in the industry in 2009-2010. "As a result, we have provided the realization of all the projects important for the future of our civil and military aviation ", - premier said.
